Take my word, for all its worth
Have it freely, but love me first
What do you say, shouldn’t be tough
No, never. Not good enough.
Then take my blood, every drop
Please, just love me and never stop
What about now, are we square?
Still you decline, call me unfair
Have my life, my earthly will
Perhaps, love me and cease the chill?
Is my death wanted trade
Still you call my debt unpaid?
You want my soul, my eternity
You’d take and break it forcibly
The one thing I simply can’t give
Is the one thing you won’t forgive
Love me, please, despite all this?
No. Never. So easily you dismiss.
