Murder of the Mind: IV (Final)

Murder of the Mind: IV (Final)

The ideas begin to fade from mind
My thoughts become cloudy, confused
I feel as if I’ve suddenly become blind
My eternity becomes diffused

Everything shrinks in on me
My world is unfamiliar and barren
I’m lost in shade at sea
My dark end calls like a siren

I consider my resistance for a moment
Wanting nothing more than to relent
At last my will is fully spent
I wonder if I must repent

Will it be sunny fields or a dreary gate?
What eternity do I await?
It is my fears I anticipate
Tethering me with the greatest weight

A final thought
A foreign concept
What have I wrought?
A dim prospect
