Eternity Within

Eternity Within

My will is my own and you can’t have it
You can break my bones and scar my flesh
My body may be broken but not my spirit
I won’t fall or fail at life’s cruel test

I can fall from a high into the darkest lake
Drown and gasp as the world disappears
No matter how far or frightened I am

Nothing will cause my spirit to break
Nothing will best me, not even my fears
Nothing will make me one of the damned

I am the hero of my own damn story
Nothing will serve as memento mori

I will not flinch to fear, I will never yield
My courage, the only weapon I need wield

So hurry your horses, raise your swords
I will defeat you with only my words

I am eternal.
